MANUAL SLUICES

Jay International manual sluices are designed with simplicity in mind to dispose of the contents of bedpans and urine bottles quickly and efficiently. All units are manufactured to an exceptionally high standard in polished 304 grade stainless steel, retaining their appearance with the minimum of care and attention. Jay International has designed a unique and highly effective rim flushing action and other details such as our multi-adapt traps which ensure ease of installation, particularly in awkward sites.

All our manual sluices come as a complete kit ready for installation and include chrome plated wrist lever action taps, wastes, cross pipes etc. The sluices are available with the option of a stainless steel cistern and trap or a more economical version with a plastic cistern and trap. The units are Water Board Approved and are registered with the Water Research Council. We manufacture a complete range of units with or without work surfaces or sinks and a range of optional extras, such as a hinged or sit on lid for areas where a 'closed' sluice unit is required. These units can also be produced to comply with HTM64 or manufactured to individual design, size or specification to suit particular site requirements.

COMPACT RANGE OF FULLY AUTOMATIC BEDPAN WASHER DISINFECTOR

We are pleased to introduce the new Compact Range of fully automatic bedpan washer disinfectors. This latest generation of 3 medium capacity machines allows the work load to be properly matched for best infection control - at the lowest price. We have worked closely with engineers and Healthcare professionals to produce a complete sluice room equipment which is essential for busy wards and nursing homes and important for keeping maintenance costs to a minimum.

The Washers are all thermo-couple tested in line with British Standards to ensure that the temperature reaches a minimum of 80c for 1 minute, through out the wash chamber and utensils being processed, in order for disinfection to take place. Disinfection ensure that their are no unpleasant odours emanating from the machine and that their is no risk of cross infection from the inside chamber of the machine - unlike disposable macerator systems which do not disinfect, so the macerator chamber and lid can not be clinically clean under normal operation, presenting a health hazard to staff.

The three models all have an automatically opening lid released by the simple touch of the foot pedal and will wash and disinfect one, two or pans or urine bottles in one cycle. The complete cycle takes approximately 3.5 minutes and uses about 15 litres of cold or hot water per cycle (macerators use approximately 65l of water per cycle). Autosluice units are Water Board Approved and registered with the Water Research Council.

Disposables can leak if damaged, and add to the problems of pressure sores and are bulky and expensive revenue items on regular contracts which need to be stored. Washers do not present any of these problems and in addition are extremely reliable due to such technology as a microprocessor control unit, a built in condenser, a high pressure jet washing system and a digital temperature display.

The Compact range of washer disinfectors provide the simple solution to all your sluice room problems. Even disposable systems require the use of a bedpan washer disinfector or a manual sluice so that plastic bedpan carriers for the disposable bedpans can be disinfected, so why have the expense of two separate systems in the sluice room?

QUARTZ AND ZIRCON SURGEONS SCRUB UP TROUGHS

Jays Quartz and Zircon surgeons scrub up troughs are supplied as a complete standard assembly with particular attention to anti-splash provisions in order to help maintain the hygiene levels in the operating theatre area. We manufacture two designs of unit, one of which (the Zircon) is more economic and manufactured to a simpler design. Both units come in a range of standard sizes and are available with a high splash back if preferred. All our scrub up troughs are supplied with quality elbow lever action dual flow mixer taps for deck or wall mounting as standard and will soon be available with the option of a no touch system for soap and water. These units are also available with a range of optional extras and special sizes, shapes and combinations can be manufactured to order.

AMETHYST BEDPAN AND URINE BOTTLE RACKS

The Jay International Amethyst bedpan and urine bottle storage racks are designed to store bedpans and urine bottles efficiently and safely. All racks are manufactured to an exceptionally high standard in electro-polished 304 grade stainless steel with a removable drip tray for easy cleaning and disinfection, essential for today's hygiene requirements. Our racks are available as economic (non-heated) models or water heated models and come in a standard range of sizes and combinations to suit your sluice room. We also offer our custom design facility to accommodate specified numbers of bedpans and urine bottles or commode racks or cupboards to house the racks if required.
